Every two years the Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture (CCCB) plays host to Kosmopolis. The Amplified Literature Fest. As its name suggests, it features literature in all its forms and manifestations, going beyond a narrow, limited definition.
Kosmopolis is a place for exchanging ideas, where creators from various fields — philosophers, musicians, writers, scientists, film directors, etc.—, cultural players —journalists, librarians, publishers, etc.— and readers are involved in an open debate on major current issues.
If you look through the names that have appeared at this literature fest since 2002, you get an idea of the scope and principles of a festival that, between its biennial editions, maintains a continual programme of events.
